ISO/TC 69/SC 4 在 2003 年發行的 ISO/TR 13425:2003 將統計學標準分為技術 (technology)、描述 (describe)、解釋 (explain)、允收 (accept) 、比較 (compare)、量測控制 (measurement control)、後續時間或時間變化 (follow in time)等類別，其關係及相對國際標準如下圖所示。2006 年 ISO/TR 13425 改版，增加了一些新的或改版的相關統計學國際標準，如下圖所示：
